Congratulations to SSEU and all members on your 35th Anniversary. The Singapore Shell Employees' Union (SSEU) has been instrumental in providing quality employment to Singaporeans. The Trisector partnership between government, employers, and unions continues to be a vital element in shaping quality employment. Today, the Singaporeans and the members of SSEU enjoys quality employment; where employees work in safe and comfortable conditions. The SSEU has grown in quality and strength since its inception on 1984. Nevertheless, we must continue to be relevant and remain competitive by staying ahead of the curve in the generation of disruption The government is committed to investing in the skills and abilities of workers. Hence, we attempt to empower individuals and businesses with the SkillsFuture and the Earn& Learn programmes. We are confident that members of the SSEU will effectively utilize these programme to improve the quality of work for employees and productivity for the business. In the age of innovation and disruption, there are no boundaries. SSEU must look beyond the present and seek trends of the future. I encourage you to explore new opportunities with exciting technologies. With the robust technological platforms today, the possibilities for innovation are limitless. With your commitment to improve the quality of jobs in Singapore, I believe our workforce is in safe hands. The 35th Anniversary of SSEU is a cause to celebrate for.
